New Trade Pile and a Contest Plug

Hello all. I have begun my 11 night stint at my kids former grammar school's fund raising festival running the black jack portion of their gambling tent so posts will be short and sweet for the next week and a half or so. I will begin a new trade pile today. Chris over at Nacho's Grande grabbed the first one at just one card which is fine by me. You know the routine by now, I post a card pile and add to it at random intervals til somebody grabs it for a card (or cards if you like) from my "Wanted Table".

2001 Leaf Rookies and Stars Manny Ramirez (Red Sox)

First one to claim the pile gets it.

A reminder to go on over to Jaybarkerfan's Junk where he  is holding a contest. Start following and tell him I sent you and we can both win some prizes.

That's all for now. Keep rockin your cardboard dreams!

Contest Over At Jaybarkerfan's Junk and First Trade Pile Claimed.

I just discovered this spot and like it so far. Jaybarkerfan's Junk is holding a contest so head on over and tell him I sent you so we both can win something.
I am happy to say that Chris from Nachos Grande claimed my first Trade Pile with just one card in it. I thought he might when I started with a Barry Larkin. Check out his latest Trade Stack as he's up to 10 cards now.

That's all for now, gotta go coach a playoff game for my niece's team. Keep rocking your cardboard dreams.

Blog Appreciation: Trade Pile

Hello all. Today I come back with another blog appreciation feature from another blog I have enjoyed.
In paying tribute to (stealing his good idea with his blessing) Nachos Grande I will now feature a trade pile (see how I changed it from his "trade stack". I will start with one card in hopes of trading it for a card off my Wanted and Set Needs Table or a card not listed there that you think I may like and don't have. If nobody claims it I will add another card to the pile at random intervals until somebody grabs the deal for the whole pile. It can be one card, five cards, or even ten cards when you jump on board. First claim takes it. Pretty simple yet a great way to make a quick easy trade. I will try to add my own twist along the way in The Buffet's style to change it up a little.
Again to honor Chris's idea I will offer a Barry Larkin card to start things off.

1996 Leaf Studio #26 Barry Larkin (Reds)

A great looking card.  Grab it while you can!

On another front, I have relisted my 2011 Topps Wrapper Redemption AUTO Randy Jackson Cubs up for auction with a lower BIN price so check it out. If a blogger buys or makes an offer I accept I will throw in some kind of bonus cards depending on what you collect. If you direct somebody else to the auction and they buy it and mention your name I will give you a "finders fee" in the form of some cards also. Check it out HERE.

Thats all for now. Keep rocking your cardboard dreams!

A Couple Of Contest Plugs and the Texas Rangers Are A Class Act

Hey all. A quick hit before I catch up on some sleep before a 100 degree scorcher here in NYC tomorrow. A couple of contest happenings out there with some sweet prizes to report. First up This Card Is Cool  has a cool card contest with 4 prizes so go on over and check it out. This blog is new to me and I like what a see so far. Another spot in Blogoland that I have just found, Buckeye State's Trading Post is also having a contest for some great looking cards so head there next. I look forward to reading this new to me blog also. Finally, I saw a really awesome story about the Texas Rangers drafting a paralyzed player in the draft the other day after he was injured on the field during the season. Check out the whole story HERE on the Sporting News website.

That's all for now. Keep rocking your cardboard dreams!

Come And Get It, plus I Have An Auction Running For A Black Diamond Auto.

Hello all. Today I begin a new feature here on BA Benny's Baseball Card Buffet that I have wanted to do for a while. What I will be doing is paying homage to some of the great blogs out there that I read by basically stealing their ideas that I like and using them here. They say if you copy somebody it's a form of flattery and I truly am showing appreciation for stuff I have seen out and about in Blogoland so I hope nobody gets annoyed with me. If you don't like my using of your ideas then please let me know and I will certainly stop. I also will try to put my own little Buffet style spin on some of these so hopefully you enjoy them.
My first blog tribute will be to Cardboard Junkie. The man, the myth, the legend, a man they call Day F was kind enough to just give away some vintage cards at the end of last year  for the first person to comment and nothing else so I will do the same. Today I have this vintage card for the first person to comment (and e-mail me your address) with no strings attached.

1965 Topps #68 Del Crandall (Giants)

This card is in pretty good shape so jump on in and grab it.
I will be doing other blog tributes as time goes on. I will have some "trade stacks" and some contests based on other blogs styles as well as an auction type of thing and some other fun stuff I have seen along the way out there so stay tuned.

On another note, I received my Topps Wrapper Redemption  packs last week and was lucky enough to score one of the black diamond autos they have /60. I decided to try and sell it on E-Bay and priced it at the average that they have sold for but there is a best offer option and if you are a blogger I will give extra consideration to an offer made.

 Check out my auction HERE

If a blogger buys it I will add a little something extra in the package as a thank you. Just let me know who you are and what your blog is.

That's all I have for now, keep rocking your cardboard dreams!

ManuPatches and Chrome Scratches Are All Right By Me!

Hello all. Still crazy busy as of late but a few minutes of spare time allows me to show off some great cards I got in a trade with Eric over at Manu Patches and Chrome Scratches.  Eric is a great trader and I always enjoy when we swap cards. He had some Topps 206's I needed (not pictured) and a cool Razor Letterman I liked and a trade was born.
    First some Yanks.

A Ted Williams Keller and a bunch of "Swell" other Yankees.

Mets always look good in a trade package.
A couple of cool Reyes and a load of Documentary's. I have to add these to the pile I have and organize them, it may be time to try and complete the team set. A also love the American flag card and the addition to my meager Ralph Kiner collection.

What would a trade with Eric be without a Manu Patch and a Chrome (no scratches).
The Razor Letterman have really grown on me (probably because of the 2 case breaks I was in with Dennis over at Too Many Grandersons) and this Chris Smith will look great with the other Yankees prospects I have from the set.

There you have a small portion of another great trade with Eric. Thanks a bunch for the great additions to my collections.

That's all the time I have for now. Keep rocking your cardboard dreams!
